towns, beautiful vineyards and the best wines in Italy
I n the footsteps of the
pilgrims of old, our Tuscan walking tour follows old pilgrimage and trade
routes through some of the most stunning landscapes of southern Tuscany.
Your tour commences in
Pienza, an excellent example of Renaissance town planning built
following the request of Pope Pius II in the 15th century.
Enjoy fine views onto the famous Tuscan patchwork of
brown, clay and golden wheat fields. Onwards, your journey brings you to
the spa town of Bagno Vignoni through the Val dOrcia. The journey takes
you to the pretty buildings and flower-filled squares of Montalcino. Wine
connoisseurs will recognize the name for the fine Brunello di Montalcino,

at the crossroads of pilgrimage and trade roads reminding you of the rich
