ABOUT YOUR SHIP

CRUISE INFORMATION
This information is intended as a guide to our cruises, and will help you to plan your holiday. It does not go into the places of interest on our route, as information about these is best obtained from the many maps and travel books covering the geography, history, architecture and other interesting features of the places concerned. Neither is this brochure a substitute for our official cruise terms and conditions.

AIR-CONDITIONING
The vessels are fully air-conditioned. All cabins and public rooms have individual temperature and air flow controls. Please note that the air-conditioning only works effectively when the windows and doors are closed.

BAR
The Panorama Bar is usually open daily from 1000 to 0100. Opening times of the Lido Bar on the sun deck (AMADEUS ships only) are dependent on weather conditions.

BRIDGE
The bridge may be visited upon application.

BUREAU DE CHANGE
Owing to national banking regulations we are not permitted to offer a money-changing service on board. Please use banks or official bureaux de change at the ports. We would advise passengers, in their own interests, against dealing with illegal moneychangers.

CABIN KEY
When you leave your cabin, please lock the door and take the cabin key with you. When you go ashore during the cruise, please leave the cabin key at reception. Please hand the cabin key in to reception at the end of the cruise.

CREW AREA
Please respect the crew’s privacy.

CRUISE DIRECTOR
The Cruise Director is at your service throughout the cruise, and will be happy to provide any additional information you may require.

DAILY PROGRAM
A sheet detailing the next day’s program is drawn up and put in your cabin each day. It contains important information about starting times of shore excursions, meals and other events and will be the timetable for all onboard services provided by the crew.

DECKCHAIRS
There are plenty of free deck chairs on the sun deck for your use.

DIETS
Please pass any special requirements on to your travel agent before leaving home, and then see the restaurant manager on board.

DRESS CODE
We recommend you wear light clothing and comfortable footwear during the day and for shore excursions. For special occasions such as the welcome dinner and gala evening we suggest some festive clothing.

DRINKING WATER
The water on board is of drinking water quality but, as it is not running water and is stored in tanks, we suggest that you obtain mineral water from the bar or restaurant.

ELECTRICITY
220 V, 50 Hertz.

EMBARKATION / DISEMBARKATION
Embarkation usually begins at 1500 and disembarkation of the ship is usually by 0900 (depending on the schedule). Please contact your travel agent for the addresses of the landing stages for embarkation and disembarkation.

ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM
You can expect dance music and light music daily in the Panorama Bar. The daily program will give details of any additional performances on board.

EXCURSIONS
On offer at nearly all our ports of call are interesting shore excursions. Details of them all will be included with your travel documents, and you can book them via your travel agent, or on board. If you need any further information, please contact the Cruise Director.

GAMES
Parlour games are available on board. Please ask about these at reception.

GOING ASHORE
Passengers are asked to be back on board 15 minutes before departure.

GRATUITIES
In accordance with international custom, it is perfectly acceptable to tip staff. How much you give is entirely up to you and should be in recognition of good service. The Cruise Director will give you our latest guidelines.

HAIRDRESSER
There is a ladies/gents hairdressing salon on board. Please make an appointment if you would like the hairdresser’s services.

HAIR-DRYERS (AMADEUS ships only)
Available in all cabins.

INSURANCE
Please take advice about appropriate travel insurance from your travel agent or insurance company before leaving home.

LAUNDRY
For a small charge the ship’s laundry will wash and iron your clothes. Please see your cabin stewardess for further details. There are no dry cleaning facilities on board.

LIBRARY
A selection of reading material is available for passengers, and whenever possible daily newspapers are also left out. Please return any books and magazines you have borrowed at the end of the cruise.

MAIL
You can hand in any mail at the reception. It will be posted at the next port of call.

MEDICAL ATTENTION
A doctor is available aboard MS DELTASTAR, MS DONAUSTAR and MS ROUSSE for the duration of all cruises. Treatment is subject to charges (excepting cases of emergency), and the doctor’s fee will be in line with current rates. A small charge will be made for any medicines. The AMADEUS ships do not have a doctor on board at all times.

MEDICINES
If you are on any special medication, please make sure you have sufficient supplies of it before leaving home. The pharmacy on the ship is only equipped for emergencies and, should any of its supplies be needed, a small charge will be made.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
The following currencies will be accepted for shore excursions and for settling your account at the end of the cruise: EUR, CHF, GBP and US dollars. Credit cards such as American Express, Diners Club, Euro/MasterCard, Visa Card and travelers’ cheques will also be accepted. Please note that a small fee is payable if you use travelers’ cheques. Please note that Eurocheques and personal cheques are not accepted on board.

PASSENGER ACCOUNTS
All personal expenditure in the bar, restaurant, ship’s shop and elsewhere is added to your cruise account. A final invoice will be presented to passengers for settlement at the end of the cruise.

PASSPORTS
We keep passports securely at reception in order to deal with entry and departure formalities for everyone together. We thank you for your understanding and your patience during any visual checks that may be made on the frontiers of countries outside the Schengen Agreement.

Pets are not allowed on board.

RESTAURANT
The Maître d’Hotel will welcome you to your first meal on board, and arrange your table in the restaurant, and will meet your wishes as far as possible.

Valuables, cash and cheques can be deposited in the ship’s safe free of charge. Please ask at reception or speak to the Cruise Director.

Please read the ‘Safety on board’ brochure in your cabin.
We would like to point out that the gangways and steps on board (up to and down from the sun deck) might be slippery in wet or cold weather.

SAUNA (MS ROUSSE only)
The sauna and changing rooms are on the Danube Deck. A charge is made for using the sauna. You can make a reservation at reception. Please bring your own towels and bathrobe.

SHOP
Everyday requirements, souvenirs and so on are available in the ship’s shop. Opening times are available at reception or from the Cruise Director.

SMOKING
We ask our smoking passengers please to have consideration for non-smokers. Smoking is not permitted in the restaurant (all ships).
