Bike and River Cruise on The Danube from Passau -Vienna - Passau

Since the Nibelungen saga, it seems, the great river has attracted and fascinated travelers. Relax on board your floating hotel and enjoy spectacular natural scenery as you gently cycle through wooded valleys lined with charming old townships. You will pass historic castles and ruins, beautiful churches and inspiring monasteries. Take this opportunity to discover Vienna, the vibrant Austrian capital and cycle along the banks of the delightful Blue Danube. Enjoy the impressive and diverse scenery of the most timeless river in Europe.

Cycle the world's most popular bicycle path by day and return home each night to your floating hotel, a nostalgic river cruise ship the MS THEODOR KORNER

Start your dream journey and enjoy the advantages of your floating hotel during your bike tour along the Danube cycle path: a different destination every day, however without having to pack your bags every day.

Cruise past the magical landscapes along the river with its steep wooded hills, vineyards, fruit plantations and mysterious marshland. This land full of legends and a vibrant culture will fascinate you with its countless sights and monuments out of a lively past.

Biking along the Danube is a very special pleasure because your hotel is always with you! Always gently downhill, mostly with a helpful tailwind you are experiencing the impressive river-meanders of the Donauschlinge (="Great Loop"). Enjoying the gorgeous landscape of the legendary Wachau you will immerse in the untouched woods of the National Park Donauauen (="Danube Meadow"). And then Vienna - a firework of places of interest! A city hardly to be described - you have to feel it! Sights like St. Stephen's Cathedral, the town hall or the Riesenrad (=Ferris wheel) are closely to reach during a sight-seeing tour by bike. At the Naschmarkt (=famous food market) a stroll will become a cultural and culinary adventure. Recreation will be found at cozy coffee bars and at the typically Viennese wine taverns.

During the day you bike along the embankment down the Danube cycle path. In the afternoon you board your ship and on most days continue to the next harbour. Enjoy the evenings on board with live music or explore the harbour towns.

If you don't feel like biking one day, just stay on board, relax and let the country side pass by. Due to the set-up of our program, this cruise can also be enjoyed by non-bikers, children and "first time" cyclists.
