A magnificent tour a allowing you to discover in the heart of Brittany, a land of numerous sights where villages and castles, shores and bocages are in total harmony with the earth and the sea. Passing through the world wonder of the nature Mont Saint Michel to the "pirates" town of saint Malo along the marvelous Emerald coast.
Tour Profile: Rolling countryside with occasional short but steep climbs. Mostly on quiet countryside roads but expect some traffic when entering towns.

The Itinerary: Day 1 - Arrival in Fougeres Discover the city, its architectural and religious heritage, its forests and gardens. A prestigious medieval city overlooked by its imposing and well preserved fortress complete with an active moat. Don't miss a visit at the chateau.
Day 2 - Fougeres - Pontorson 48km/26 miles A stage on the former railway path converted to a cycling path. You will cross typical small villages. Then follow the Couesnon Valley, to Pontorson, a peaceful village on the way to Mont Saint Michel.
Day 3 - Pontorson - Le Vivier sur Mer 45km/21 miles A day devoted to the discovery of the wonder of Mont Saint Michel. This rocky islet has risen in the bay for more than a thousand years and has kept its tradition of welcoming visitors. Enjoy a walk through the authentic medieval streets along timber framed houses. Continue with a visit of the abbey and loose your mind at the labyrinth of the numerous surrounded walls of the city. After this long moment of walking, ride on a cycling path via countryside and fields towards the sea side and Vivier sur mer, famous for oyster parks. Day 4 - Le Vivier sur Mer - St Malo 42km/24 miles
A day ride
starting in the inner lands through typical small villages and
countryside before arriving in Cancale a picturesque fishing
harbour along the granite coast. Enjoy the beautiful view from
this bay and taste the fresh Day 5 - St Malo - Dinan 36km/24 miles After the visit of
the old town where testimonies of pirates are at every corner of
the medieval city, surrounded by walls from centuries, reach the
Rance valley. Through countryside landscapes on the first part
of the day, you will cross numerous villages with typical houses
of this area and other prehistorical testimonies. Continue your
ride along the river Rance on a peaceful cycling path until
reaching the Medieval City of Dinan surrounded by walls. Enjoy a
walk through the numerous pedestrian streets to discover the
timber framed houses and paved routes. Day 6 - Dinan Combourg 31km/20 miles
A day ride on a very pleasant and
peaceful cycling path at the rhythm of the Rance canal, locks
and house boat cruises. At every village, leave the cycling path
and discover the heart of the inner lands villages of Britany.
Then cross the bocage
and you will discover Combourg with its
impressive feudal
castle
situated near a wide pond. Day 7 - Combourg - Fougeres 55km/37 miles A stage in the heart of the center of Brittany with numerous vestiges of the mysterious local civilization who formerly celebrated the worship of stone. A kingdom of legends, beliefs and traditions.
Day 8 - Fougeres - Departure after breakfast .

BICYCLES: 21 speed men's and ladies' bike, equipped with two saddlebags, a high visibility jacket, an anti-theft device, a map holder and a repair kit. Adjustment by a cycling specialist.

IN CASE OF BREAKDOWN - We do not intervene for flat tires. However, should any breakdown occur that prevents the completion of the days journey we will make repairs on the road. A phone number will be provided. All other types of necessary repairs that do not make cycling impossible will be repaired at the hotel each night.
