INNSBRUCK TO BOLZANO

THE ADIGE BICYCLE PATH - DISCOVER THE TYROL

Through the orchards and vineyards of South Tyrol From Austria to Italy following the wine route

South Tyrol is in spring, summer and autumn the perfect area for your bike tour! Sparkling ice caves, mountains, fruit orchards and vineyards are accompanying you on your tour. You start your tour in Innsbruck, next step is Imst - also named Meran of North Tyrol. From Landeck a transfer brings you to Nauders (Reschen Pass). And then you cycle mostly downhill - That way also less athletic cyclists manage this tour without any problems. Along the river Adige you continue to the sunken village in La Recdhensee and Bolzano. Relax enjoy a bottle of wine and the view onto Rosengarten group: For some it is a beautiful mountain. for others it is the empire of dwarf king Laurin where roses are glowing in the sunset. A crowning ending of an attractive tour!

Tour Profile: You cycle on bike paths in the river valleys of Inn and Adige. From Landeck to Reschen Pass by buss transfer. Between Reschen Pass and Bolzano there is more than a 1200 meter difference in altitude (downhill!!). You still have to cope with some ascents to keep the route running free of traffic.
