FLEET DETAILS

We offer a choice of almost 40 boats to choose from, something to suit every everyone. Choosing your boat is easy. All the different models are described on on the appropriate pages - just use the simple step-by step guide to help you make the right choice, and please ask us if you require further guidance.

Every boat has all the modern facilities you need for a comfortable holiday: Spacious saloon, cabins giving absolute privacy, showers with hot and cold running water, toilets, and a fully equipped galley. Our goats have large windows so you can always enjoy unimpeded views of the passing scenery. Many have opening sun-roofs and large decks for sunbathing, eating al fresco or just watching the world go by.

Choosing Your Boat

You have already chosen a region and planned your itinerary for your holiday cruise... That just leaves the choice of boat from the many models we offer.

Several factors may determine which boat you will elect to hire:

The size and composition of your group (number of adults/children who will be on board)
Your comfort level in operating a larger or a smaller boat (although it is really quite simple)
Your budget
Availability at the port from which you have chosen to travel

The Right Size - It is important that you choose a large enough boat to comfortably accommodate everyone on board. The capacity and dimensions of each boat can be found within each boat's description. When you see two figures (e.g.. 6+2) the first shows the capacity not exceeding 2 people per cabin while the second shows the number of extra berths, usually in the saloon.

The boat photograph will give you a n overall impression of the model, and the layout plan clearly shows how you party will be accommodated on board (some layouts differ slightly- but the accommodation will generally be as shown).

Special Requirements - It is also important to choose the right boat for people with special needs. A low single-level boat with easy access, for example is best suited for those who may have difficulty moving., such as the elderly or disabled

Boat Availability - Each departure port lists the boats that are available from the port. Please be sure to request a boat that will be available to you at your chosen port to avoid disappointment.

Departure Days - Each boat has a specific departure day. Once you have chosen your boat and region, you should check the departure day when making your booking.

Your boat - Ready to go - Before departure, your boat will have been thoroughly cleaned and all mechanical equipment carefully checked. The full tank of diesel is sufficient for one or two weeks of normal cruising, and the water supply should last about two days before you need to refill at one of the many water points shown in your canal guide.

The Equipment on Board

Although the layout and facilities of boats may vary, each is fully equipped to the highest standard.

Galley - Each galley has generous work surfaces, a sink, cooker with oven and grill, large cupboards and one or two refrigerators depending on the size of boat. A full range of cooking utensils, cutlery crockery and glassware is also provided.

Bathrooms - Depending on the size of boat, you will find one, two or even three bathrooms with shower, toilet and in some cases, even a bath. All boats have large water tanks with a generous supply of hot and cold water

Bed Linen - A complete set of bed linen is provided, including sheets, duvets or blanket, and even towels are supplied.

Storage Space - There is plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space on each boat for storing clothing and belongings, and our latest boats have a safe.

Electrical Equipment - Each boat is equipped with a 12 volt system with a cigar lighter fitting to recharge mobile phones and camcorders A radio cassette and a12 volt hair dryer are provided. A 220 volt socket is available for electric razors only.

Heating - All the boats have heating.

Safety Equipment - You will find all the required safety equipment on board your boat: First aid kit, fire blanket, fire extinguishers and life jackets. Children's life jackets are also available, and should be requested at your base prior to departure.

Crown Class Series - An exclusive series with accommodations for 2 to 10 people. The Crown Class is a new generation of high quality boats with elegant lines, exceptional comfort and superb interior layout; two steering positions, ease of handling and spacious sun decks.

Elite Models - At the forefront is the range. This latest generation of boats are all less than two years old and benefit from the most recent improvements in design and cruising comfort. With assisted air circulation and stylish Elite embroidered bath towels and back pack, we also take pleasure in welcoming you with a bottle of champagne - all the little extra special touches to make this a truly elite holiday.

Our wide range of traditionally built boats are practically equipped and generously fitted for for comfortable canal cruising and river navigation. Whatever you budget an whatever you party size, you can be sure of finding a boat that perfectly balances your needs for easy cruising with holiday comfort. From a party of two to a party of twelve, you will find our boats well designed, generously sized and perfectly equipped.

Boat Prices - Boat rental prices are listed on the page that describes a destination and discusses its cruising possibilities.The price of your European Waterways adventure depends upon which boat you choose, the length of the trip, the departure and return ports and the season of the year. Some boats are not available at all locations, so be sure to consult the web page for the area you would like to cruise to determine what boats are available in that particular area. Prices for the boats vary with the season. You may choose to embark on a one week adventure or a mini-week or a weekend. In each case you may add additional days at the daily charge that is quoted. This, however, must be arranged in advance because the boats are scheduled for the next occupants at the time you arrange to return it.

Damage Waiver - between $50 and $100 (between $50 and $70 in Scotland)
Navigation maps
Final cleaning
Security deposit (between $700 and $1200
Consumables - Charged at the end of your cruise; between $15 and $40 (between $70 and $170 in Scotland) subject to fuel price variations, per day, depending on the size of the boat and the time spent cruising (shown by on-board engine hour meter).
Consumables deposit - 150 Euros (approx $195.00) to be paid on arrival. It is refundable when you return the boat and once you have paid for the consumables used during your cruise.

Rental Periods and Extra Charges:

Week: Departure between 4 and 6 p.m. return between 8 and 9 a.m.
Extra Days: Price is calculated by dividing the weekly price by 7.
Weekend and Short Break: Why not take a short break and enjoy cruising over a weekend? You can choose to cruise for a few days before 20 June or after 16 September

3 nights/2day = 55% of the weekly hire price
4 nights/3 days = 65% of the weekly hire price
5 nights/4 days= 75% of the weekly hire price
One Way Cruises: Supplemental charge of $200. Vehicle transfer, if required, 95 Euros (approx $125).
Extended Cruises: Cruises of 9, 10 or 11 days are available in all regions on all boats (except the Lot). These cruises will be invoice pro rata to the number of days.
2 Weeks or More: 5% discount for a 14 to 20 days cruise, and a 10% discount for 21 days or more for all types of boats.
Group Discount: By taking a holiday with a family or friends, and booking two or more boats at the same time and leaving the same base on the same dates on the same itinerary, you will qualify for a special discount of 5%. on the same dates on the same itinerary, you will qualify for a special discount of 10%.
Escape Week Discounts: Cruise during our ESCAPE WEEKS and receive up to 15% off!! This is your opportunity to discover a cruising region or try a boat at an excellent price. We only have a limited number of Escape Weeks available, so book now to avoid disappointment!
Combining Discounts: All discounts are available for holidays in all areas (unless a precise area is mentioned) and only applicable on one week week cruise or longer. It is possible to use more than one discount up to a maximum discount of 15%.
Departure days: As specified on the details for each cruising region.
One week = 7 nights. Where your holiday overlaps two seasonal periods, the price is calculated according to the number of days falling in each period.
