Click to See: Tour Price - Departure Days - What's Included - Reserve this tour ITINERARY: Day 1 - Arrival in Bad Goisern Individual arrival, check-in and hand out of the travel documents. Day 2 - Bad Goisern - Altaussee, approx. 6.5 hours 19km/11.7mi The tour starts in Bad Goisern and leads you to the hotel "Berghof Predigstuhl". It is worth to have a rest on the sunterrace with a marvellous view over lake Hallstättersee". At Lupitsch you have reached the region "Ausseerland" and walk back to the village Altaussee. Day 3 - Via Salis, approx 3 hours 8km/5mi The immeasurable rich facets of the topic salt are the main thread on your way through the picturesque Ausseerland. The history of the salt mines is shown at 23 stations on a pleasant hiking tour. The signposting helps you to discover old tunnel entrances, roman trade routes or old fortress ruines and recounts from the salt production and the mining tradition. Highlight of today: the visit of the salt mine Altaussee. Overnight stay same as Day 2.
Accompanied by the river "Altausseer Traun" you will arrive at Bad Aussee. Through the wild romantic Koppental valley you hike back to the UNESCO world heritage region Hallstatt-Dachstein. Take the chance to visit the "Koppenbrüllerhöhle" (= ice cave). You will reach the village Hallstatt after a short boat trip on lake "Hallstättersee". Day 5 - Hallstatt - Krippenstein - Hallstatt 3.4hrs 15km/9.3mi Hiking along the lake you will arrive at the station of the cable railway "Krippenstein". From the pasture "Schönbergalm" you walk on the "Weg durch die Alpenflora" to the stalactite cavern and the ice cave. The downhill-ride by cable railway brings you back to the valley and you walk comfortably back to Hallstatt. Day 6 - Hallstatt - Bad Ischl, approx. 6 hours 22km/13.6mi Return to Top Starting in Hallstatt a steep gradient leads you to the saltmine. You can also use the little funicular railway. You walk 200m above the Hallstättersee and enjoy a great view on the mountains. You walk back on a path, which is marked as the "Soleweg". The signs give you more information about the salt mining and its history. You will arrive at the emperors village Bad Ischl after a marvellous hiking tour through the Traun valley. Day 7 - Bad Ischl - Bad Goisern, approx. 6 hours 18km/11mi A beautiful path through to the former emperors hunting grounds leads you to the alpine pasture "Hoisenradalm". You will reach the Salzberg of Bad Ischl and then the Predigstuhl. The way leads you to the Ewige Wand, a path built in a rock, back to Bad Goisern. Day 8 - Departure Time to go home... or book additional nights.....
