ITINERARY:
Day 1 - Arrival at Hinderstoder
Hand out of the travel documents.
Day 2 - Hinterstoder – Spital am Pyhrn, approx. 22 kms/ 7 hours
Take the taxi up to the “Hutterer Böden” (enjoy a breathtaking view over the mountain range “Totes Gebirge”). The hike goes on to Vorderstoder which is the highest village of the region “Pyhrn-Priel”. You pass Roßleithen and continue to Spital am Pyhrn.
Day 3 - Spital am Pyhrn – St. Pankraz – Kirchdorf, (approx. 22 kms/13.5mi - 7 hours )
transfer: approx. 15 kms/9.3mi
The hiking path proceeds to Windischgarsten, through the romantic valley of the rivers Veichl and Teichl to the recreational area “Klauser See”. From there you take the train back to Kirchdorf.
Day 4 - Kirchdorf – Molln/Leonstein, (approx. 18 kms/9.3mi - 6 hours)
Today you hike up to the castle “Altpernstein” (where you can enjoy a great view over the beautiful “Kremstal”. Then you go up to the “Hirschwaldstein” and then to the village Leonstein.
Day 5 - Free Day
Take your time to relax or go for walks in the surroundings
Day 6 - Molln/Leonstein – Steyrling, (approx. 18 kms/13mi - 6 hours)
Along the river Steyr (one of few rivers at Europe, with “drinking water” from the spring to the mouth) to Frauenstein. A little chapel offers a view to the famous “Schutzmantelmadonna”, the hiking path proceeds via the Klauser See to Steyrling.
Day 7 - Steyrling – Hinterstoder, (approx. 24 kms/15.5mi - 7.5 hours)
After breakfast you hike on the traces of empress “Sissi” (wife of the famous emperor Franz-Joseph). A nice path brings you up to the “Heindlböden” and then to Hinterstoder. (“Eldorado for mountain climbers and hiking fans”)
Day 8 - Departure after breakfast or additional nights
